ECOkids (previously Buggin About)

ECOkids is a regular weekly group for pre-school aged children (6 months – 4 years). It aims to connect young kids and their families to the natural environment by encouraging them to enjoy exploring outdoors, be creative using natural and recycled materials and learn about looking after plants, animals and the environment.

We meet term-time on Thursdays from 10.30am – 12pm and will sometimes offer groups in the school holidays too. The sessions will usually have a different seasonal nature-based theme each week and will include stories, songs, sensory play, arts and craft activities to make and take home and an explore around the site to see what we can discover.

We hope you will enjoy the opportunity to explore with your little one the beautiful natural environment here at the Singleton Environment Centre throughout the seasons and look forward to having fun whilst  discovering and learning about the fascinating world of plants and animals on our doorstep.

We will still meet even if the weather is cold and wet unless it is too risky to be out and about.  If there are any changes we will update you on the website and on Facebook. Our walk will be around all the amazing grounds at Singleton so please remember your wellies or suitable footwear.

We look forward to meeting you soon!
