Ashford Community Woodland

As part of the community and education programme Singleton Spaces holds inspiring talks about nature and conservation in the Hornbeam Room at Singleton Environment Centre. We invite experts and enthusiasts to share their knowledge and passion for the environment through illustrated presentations.

All Talks held in Hornbeam Room, Singleton Environment Centre, Wesley School Road, Ashford TN23 5LW.

Singleton Environment Centre is managed by Singleton Spaces, Registered Charity Number 1180577.

POUND IN THE POT MORNING

£1 per child per workshop

Saturday Art and Crafts Workshops – choose which activities you want to do and pay just a pound for each.  Materials all included and take away your work to show off at home.

led by Martin Newcombe, local experienced mycologist and forager. Meet at the Warren car park.  Sturdy footware and a collecting basket or bag please! Ideal event for photographers too.

Christmas Card Upcycling Workshop

AN ENVIRONMENTAL CHRISTMAS

Test your creativity and make one or all of your Xmas decorations – snowmen, tree baubles, cards and much more. A real interactive Xmas Fayre!  Sample the festive fare at Footprints cafe, listen to the Christmas music, win an extra Xmas gift in the Grand Xmas Raffle.  Don’t forget to book for the Storysacks  session and the Willow Wreath making. What’s not to love?

c) writing – wildlife themes. Bring your own creativity.

It is not obligatory to have read the book but it would help if you had!

Event is £5 per person. This talk is by John Puckett of the Kent Bats Society. Providing an overview of bats, their anatomy and physiology plus a fascinating insight into the 14 species found in Kent. Booking recommended.
