There are many different ways in which you can get involved in helping Singleton Environment Centre and the local community. With a small number of frontline staff, a great deal of work takes place behind the scenes to ensure a viable and worthwhile programme of activities.

Do let us know if you have time and skills to offer.

The Centre is managed by a board of volunteers called Singleton Spaces. This organisation has submitted an application to the Charity Commission.


No staff vacancies at present.


A volunteer leader for “Buggin About” is being sought. We would like to run a Monday session.

Knit and natter

A knit-and-natter group at the Centre
10.30-12noon. Tea, coffee, biscuits and plenty of chat.

Talk programme

A series of talks and discussions on Saturday (and from January 2019 – Thoughtful Thursday).

The R & R club (Repair and Reuse – similar to a “Men in Sheds” set-up but with idea of building and making things from recycled materials available locally).
